Very difficult but went with the 1997s based on “talent”. Come to think of it the 1985s would probably fare better and are better built for a 7 game series though.

The defence for 85 is just insane. When peak Phaneuf is your weak point, and you can pair him with Brent Burns, then McMatthews can't turn the tide.

This is no question for me.

Yep, until his hip went out he was. Aside from taking himself out of the play to make some hits, he didn't really have any flaws.
