They have Jonathan Drouin on the top line? What happened to that team? Doesn't look impressive at all anymore when you take out MacKinnon and Makar.

Are they the new Oilers? Carried by two players?

Jonathan Drouin’s 56 points last season would’ve been second on the Flyers. He’s a top 6 forward.

Mikko Rantanen and Devon Toews are widely considered top 10 players in the F and D positions.

The Avs are 1st in the NHL in lowest amount of shots per game against, but have not received even close to average goaltending. Whoever is between the pipes usually lets the team down and allows a couple of stinkers every game.

Let’s have some fun tonight with the EJ celebration! He’s such a beauty.

Did he play with MacKinnon last season, as well? I mean, you're bound to get some points when you play on the line with arguably the best player in the league right now. And Drouin still only had a third of MacKinnon's point totals.
Hard to believe that there was a time when there were people who thought those two were equals.

Forgot about Rantanen, of course. He's pretty good.

Can we request whatever prompts you put into the AI generator? Your artwork should be captioned.

It is a very simple formula. The classic form that is most reliable is "Philadelphia Flyers fighting __________" and that's that. The Machine goes crazy, and I let it express itself.

This year I have altered it to "Philadelphia Flyers wrestling _____" and that seems to have more potential of both greater success and failure. High risk high reward.

On occasion there are outliers, like "Philadelphia Flyers riding boats through the molasses flooded streets of Boston" and "The Philadelphia Flyers conducting the Boston Massacre."

Edit: This one was "The Philadelphia Flyers destroying a mountain"

They tried to trade him at the 2023 draft. They wanted a 1st. Had no takers.
It's not a huge mystery why a player they have jerked around for years, scratched, played mind games with, and just in general done a poor job of developing, now has lower value than the team wants to trade him for.

If they wanted to trade him for a 1st, the time to do that was around 2021 or earlier. After they put him through the ringer, his value isn't anywhere close to that.

Drouin was a guy I was high on when drafted, then totally gave up on, only for him to sneak back into relevance. Turns out, Montreal isnt the greatest situation. I also think he's been injured this year so that will also make him hard to notice.

Hard to feel sorry for him for his time in Montreal when the reason he ended up there was because he didn't feel like earning a spot in Tampa. The lack of competitiveness he showed there should have been a red flag for the Canadiens.

But maybe he's found a niche now. It's not like I'm watching Colorado regularly to tell one way or the other.

He was coming off a season with 41 ES points and limited time on a dysfunctional PP at 23 years old.
At that point, his value was as high as it'll ever be.

I can't find any rumor about a 2023 draft trade.

It is very rare for me to watch a player and go "this entitled loser is dogging it and expecting to succeed because he expects it to come naturally and isn't willing to work." But yes. That was very much what it felt like watching Drouin in TB. Maybe a trade woke him up, but he's not a team driver so plopping him on a team like MTL or say...PHI, is never going to be a solid indication of what he can truly be.

I'm skeptical the guy should be a first liner, but he did produce last season and Colorado has melted lately.

Didn’t realize it was Grans’ NHL debut. Good luck to the guy.

Hopefully a better career coming than his brethren Hagg.

As has been mentioned, Andrae is not good to go tonight and Grans is stepping in for his debut. I don't know what pair he will be on, but I assume we see Risto and Sanheim reunite and Grans dropped into the 3rd to start off. I'm not tinkering with the OP pairs more than just swapping Grans and Andrae, so don't take that as gospel. Basically never take anything I do as gospel. I am heretical.

Grans is likely to wear #3

I'm surprised Grans is even still with the org. Figured Overhardt would've demanded a trade already. Maybe it comes after this game
