Didn't you have Attard on the top pairing?
No. I thought he was worth a look in the top 4, he showed flashes, but never built on them.

Liked his size and plus shot, not a great skater but if he had a brain he could have been a bigger version of Gudas.

But it turned out his issue wasn't being a rover in college, rather, he was probably a rover b/c he didn't have good defensive instincts and that was the best way to utilize him.

Just never learned how to play defense in a NHL system.

There wasn't much else, was there?
So then you don't put them in any lineup. You say they have nothing and those 2 are not good enough. Has any lineup you put with prospects making the team out even come close to happening.

Desnoyers you were singing high praises for a 2 years ago. He looks like a total bust now. Wha happened?

No idea. That's why you have an AHL team.
The AHL was watered down his 23 goal season, but not by that much.
Sometimes a prospect simply hits his ceiling, and there's nothing more there.
Both Desnoyers and Wisdom couldn't build on early success.

You're just not going to develop most of your picks after the 2nd rd into NHL players.
Everyone one you hit on you beat the odds.

Every prospect has a trajectory, as long as they're improving, there's hope.
But once they "flatline" for a couple seasons (unless extenuating circumstances like COVID or injury are involved) they rarely make a subsequent jump.

However, predicting at what level they'll flatline isn't an exact science.

Yet you pump them up like they can't miss. That is why it is odd to me you always include so many in future Flyer lineups.

Overall, I do not disagree with you.

They traded Walker, put York with Sanheim.
Last 20 games (5x5):
Sanheim (20:19), York (19:29)
Zamula (15:39), Johnson (15:22), Seeler (15:21, 9g)
Staal (13:47, 8g), Attard (13:22, 12g), Ginning (13:01, 9g)

Risto was hurt, Drysdale was hurt. Seeler got hurt.

They were still in the PO hunt, which explains Johnson over Attard.
I figured they'd try to give Attard a veteran partner, instead they buried him with Ginning.
