UGH I should have taken the bet on the over. I figured 4-3 would be the most likely winning score and I'm stupid so I was wrong, but it still hit 7 either way.
Buffalo isn't the first coaching staff to neglect this, and Fedotov has been improving on this front so I assume our coaches are working with him; but he spends a lot of time using his height to stand tall and look over traffic instead of looking around it. Takes him further from the ice.
Teams with numbers advantages (especially with numbers advantages) should be creating traffic, seeing if he tries to do his tall-mode thing, and then shooting low. Either he doesn't make it in time or he leaves rebounds which I don't think he has the recovery to handle well...tendency to sell out to make first saves. They passed a little too much on a guy who was making good reads and staying on angle all game and for several games running now, trying to beat a strength instead of pounding at a weakness. That entire lengthy 6v5 was poorly conceived by Buffalo, despite their possession.
Michkov is unaware that there are bad shooting angles. This is because I'm not sure bad shooting angles exist for him.
