Yeah he’s a monster. But 3rd overall pick lmaoGudbrandson is a scary mofo. There's probably no dude in the league who could go toe to toe with him in a fight.
Sam almost said @Vinny DeAngelo!
Welfare check on @Go Away Staal
Does it matter?Does Shatty play AGAINST opposition's best like Pionk doea?
Sam really confused himself for a moment.
I think you’re using advanced stats as confirmation bias. I would say DeAngelo and Skjei are definitely better. Claesson is as well. Staal has been better this season (I don’t know if I would say he’s better or worse than Shattenkirk idk). Pionk is good offensively, but needs work defensively (but I still don’t think he’s as bad as people say). Smith started well, but is obviously struggling. In all seriousness, I think Shattenkirk is in the bottom 3. He sucks defensively, and his offense is not making up for it at all. You have to look at the big picture, not just fancy stats. Advanced metrics also say Clendening and Franson are amazing defensemen.I agree in the sense that he doesn't look great.
But think about it - who's better?
Sure as **** not Marc Staal or Neal Pionk. Brady Skjei doesn't play defense, he thinks he's Bobby Orr. Who's left?
Mika is starting to assert himself physically.
One of the best third periods all year.

Howden is a POS for giving us a lead.
