I think a lot of people also don't understand how other teams go about this. There are teams that give their 1D and 2D like 27 or 28 minutes all the time. McDonagh gets that maybe once or twice a season, there are teams where their worst defensemen play like 12 or 13 minutes per game.

The bigger problem is putting them with Staal-Kampfer. Why you would put your best line with your worst pairing makes no sense? Suppresses them.
