Ennis just pointed a pretty clear picture of the suck we witnessed tonight.

Turnovers...

And when that happened he didn't even try to get it back, but coasted to the right wing with his stick in the air calling for a one timer. Dam control the puck by never giving it up and fight like hell to retrieve it.

This team has lost its identity. Once built on hard work and speed, now who knows.

Regier should not be allowed to make any meaningful decisions until further notice

Maybe they just brought in a temporary coach with zero experience because Regier is gone, or moved to some other department and they'll lose the dead weight, get a great GM and coach blah blah blah :shakehead

It's only a 25% chance for the team in last IIRC, so it is likely from a statistical and historical standpoint

The team that finishes last has a 49.3%(correct me if i'm wrong) chance of retaining the 1st overall pick. 24-25% is by that particular team winning the lotto the other 24-25% comes from a team outside of the top 5 winning it, which would mean the last place team still gets the 1st pick. Like 2 years ago when Edm was last and NJD was 7th last or something like that. NJD won the lotto and got to move up to 4 and EDM retained 1st overall.

This is what most of hockey media is saying. Ronnie has hardly got a fighting chance, although I wish him well for his and our sakes.

Pretty sure the new CBA changed that.

The team that wins the lottery gets #1.

You are correct. The 14 non-playoff teams get weighted odds (I think those remain the same), but the winner gets #1 no matter what.

Switch in lottery won't happen til next year. Pretty sure Gary announced that earlier this week.

The percentages won't change, but the new system in which the winner receives the first pick is in place for this season.

The NHL Draft Lottery will not be changing this year.

According to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie, the league discussed making odds for the 14 non-playoff teams more balanced, but it won't happen this year.

The only difference in this year's draft lottery will remain that the team that wins the lottery will be awarded the first overall pick. In previous years, winning the lottery only allowed a team to move up a maximum of four places in the draft order.

I can't believe that after Pegula spent 500 gazillion on this team we're discussing what our draft odds will be if we're in last place, and NOT discussing the firing of the guy who spent it all.

Howson's available. Maybe he can do worse with "unlimited funding".

Pretty sure we have a thread dedicated to Darcy and whether or not he should be fired. Most of the posters talk about that subject there.

A booming metropolis that just so happens to be the cultural epicenter of an entire country? I'll take that!!!

Wait...What are we talking about again?

I like you!

And I also like the city of Buffalo and it's surrounding area (Williamsville) especially for putting up with all of us when we go on trips......Hold your head high guys, you have a great city, great people and the teams (bills. sabres. bison) will come along soon enough.

Thanx, looks like you guys are finally getting a break from the doldrums. You should be apologizing for us putting up with you at the factory outlet mall though. Talk about overrun with Ontario plates. ;)

Always notice that when I go down there.

I steer clear of the malls for the most part.

Gotta give a shout out to the great music put on by Hit and Run, great food and service at Quaker Steak and Lube in Williamsville and the overall hospitality of you guys.

I went down there for a random game once (caps game) and you guys played the Canadian national anthem. I was shocked and never felt so good about everything Buffalo.

Seriously, great city guys. I will be venturing down often and even more because the baby jays now play in Buffalo. Really looking forward to seeing that park, looks cool from the road.

Every game, every year, we do both anthems. Since 1970 :thumbu:

Quaker Steak n Lube is a chain restaurant. Next time you come down, ask around on here for some local joints that blow Quaker away.

If you're heading up this summer, toss me a PM. I work at a real nice place on the river, and I'll give you a discount card. Live entertainment every night!
