I missed a lot of today's news, only heard about the Ruff firing and just got home to read everything, so excuse me if this question is dumb:

Is Porter definitely being recalled, and is Grigorenko still going to be a healthy scratch?

Thanks for posting these links. Just read and enjoyed all 3 articles.

I don't understand what that Bucky guy is trying to say? Hope he wins a cup and bucky will be there to see it? Lifeless team? Take a ****ing hike, the sabres just let go him because they needed a change and this guys all upset about.

Yes to Porter. Not sure about Grigorenko.

I would be really surprised if Grigorenko was scratched again. Sitting the kid for a week is unacceptable (if he doesn't play tomorrow, the last game he would have played is a week ago against Boston), either send him back down or play him. I'm personally in rebuild mode and have basically written this season off, so might as well play him and give him some bigger roles IMO.

Also, Ennis is questionable for tomorrow I believe, didn't skate this morning..could be due to him getting squished into the boards by big Buff.

A guy to keep an eye on will be Foligno. He makes for a good canary in the coal mine.

Ott is another.

I'd like to see Marcus make a Leaf a permanent part of the boards on his first shift.

Another point with Foligno is that he played for Rolston in Rochester. I wouldn't be surprised to see him step up his game a bit for his old coach.

I think he will give some extended time for TJ.. The guy did very very well for him at Rochester. What do you guys think?

This is a possibility. Let's all hope you are wrong though.

If these guys can't come out like caged animals for a single game against a rival like Toronto, under these circumstances, we're screwed.

This isn't chess. It's hockey. It's not that complicated at the end of the day. A lot of what goes into winning in this league comes down to heart, hustle, and attitude.
This current Sabres squad has that? ??? You've been watching the same BUF games / team I have ??? ??? ???

Anyone remember the last time we were going into a game with a new coach? I was about 2 years old so I have no idea what to expect
I remember Billy Inglis, Marcel Pronovost, Bowman and the many reincarnations of Bowman with his assistants behind the bench - Nielson, Schoenfeld, Ramsay. I forgot who coached under Muckler. I vividly remember Ted Nolan.

I wish I could be a sports writer. It's like being a real life internet troll, but you get paid.
Word.
I think Sullivan scorns prune juice, Metamucil, and the like because he wants and needs that constipated, hard, difficult poop each morning to set his mood right. Like the inverse of endorphin release after running / sex.

WRONG. These guys are going to play hard and take care of buisness. Change is good, your going to see some guys step up and be the leaders in the locker room.

Oh, so you're some mysterious prognosticator? Tell me then, what's the final score? Who gets the first draft pick?

YOU DON'T KNOW. Nobody does.

Let me connect the dots for you. No, the Sabres have not shown heart, hustle, and good attitude so far. The theory goes that this was because the team quit on the coach.

The coach has been fired.

Therefore, it is not unreasonable to expect a lot of hustle, heart, and good attitude from the team rolling forward.
