Kakko is going to all the right areas and the puck is finding him.

He's been glued to the perimeter the past 2 years. That's the difference

Kakko looks excellent. Confidence starting to grow and he can just play and stop worrying about his slump.

Panarin also looks great, the past few games he looks back to his usual self. Busting his ass all over the ice, making things happen out of nothing, making great moves on the rush. I wonder if he was hurt or and just got over it or if it was just mental.

Either way, that line has looked good for 3 games now which is very encouraging.


What's up with Mika? This is getting ridiculous how bad he looks. He literally can't accept a pass cleanly even when it's directly on his tape. He looks lost.

His confidence is shot and/or he's injured.

I guess it's not easy for him that his newly wed wife lives and works in Sweden. She covers football (soccer) and there's only 3 more games left of the season, they play 1 game per week.

So she'll come over soon and stay for awhile hopefully!

She's been going back and forth every now and then. But I think it would do Mika a lot of good having her around closely for a longer period of time.
