No argument here. But something being bad doesn't make it less true.

We are a very young team this year though, and there has to be some encouragement taken from those young guys not letting us bottom out. Returns to this point suggest that we've drafted well the last couple years (Lias, Chytil, Kravtsov, Miller, and a handful of later picks that are performing), signed strong UDFAs (Pionk and Georgiev most notably), and targeted the right guys in trades (ADA, Howden, Hajek, Rykov, most notably).

There is lots of room for optimism, even if we are a bubble team this season. I don't think that will be the case (I think Hayes gets traded and we finish in the 5-10 range), but it isn't the end of the world if we do miss the playoffs by a couple positions.

Man, Churla might have been the baddest man I’ve ever seen skate for the Rangers. Kocur was probably a better fighter but Churla appeared to be totally mad. And Simon. He was also frightening.
