When they wrote that letter and burned it all down in Spring of 18, I understood the AHLers scattered all over the lineup and did not mind it. We are three years into the future and there are similar scrubs scattered all over the ice. Disgusting. And that's after what? 3 top-10 picks, two being top-2 NHL ready prospects? This is a joke.

Chytil, Kakko, Panarin, Trouba and Miller would displace a lot of those.

"We want them to know when they see the Rangers on the schedule, it's going to be a long night. We're going to be a team that's built around defense, and not only in our own zone. We're going to play with the puck, and the minute we don't have it, we're going to work to get it back."

"Is your work ethic what it needs to be? Is your preparation what it needs to be? It’s our responsibility as a staff of sending the message of what is acceptable and what’s not. That’s part of development. Letting them know they have to earn what they get is part of development. That’s one of my most basic principles.”

When you look at what Strome did on that fourth goal and what he consistently does, and then you look at the minutes he gets, even when we're healthy, these statements directly contradict each other.

And on cue he is out there for PP1

Kreider with the tuck and roll.

First time in 25 years of watching hockey that I hear “player 1 summersaults over player 2”

At least they seem to have gotten it through their thick skulls to "do things quicker" Need to see more of that on 5 on 5 play.

He'll be OK with a little tweak from Allaire. Very aggressive style.

It's definitely not the way he played in the KHL. He was much more composed and his technique was pretty solid. For much of his career there, he was very good about not going down early. He also had really good seals.

There needs to be some technical adjustments based on the smaller ice and quicker play for proper reads, for sure, but he's looking more aggressive than he usually plays. He's almost looking a bit more like Sorokin did in the KHL.
