I was just as upset as about anyone here when we couldn’t extend Yandle. He is quite solid. But my point is that I would take McDonagh, even with 200,000 miles on him, in a situation where we need to hold a lead or play a bit smarter in our own end.

Let’s be real. Take a look at the Panthers defensive roster, nothing stellar or off the charts. So naturally, he should be getting those assignments.

I would say their defense is pretty solid.
