They are fine if you treat them as such. It's on Gorton and co for depleting the roster of vet leadership.

I know people laugh but Babcock may be a good fit for this team... or any Alpha-Torts type.

tbf they both played much better last year and were engaged, almost as they 'believed' in the team. that has faded

They've been bad at really basic passing and receiving passes since forever. I watch other teams, they don't remotely have that level of problem with it.
 
Kakko took a bad penalty against the Bruins as well. Didnt't affect his ice time.
 
anyone see that? on Zibs last shift he's first one in and has a chacne to cleanly get the puck behind the Flyers net, but instead somehow doesn't stop and just kinda runs into the boards with no one around him. and loses possession. something is wrong with that dude.

I mean covid migh affect differently to each individual but in that case he shouldn't be playing IMO.

Yeah it’s little things like that that really encapsulates why bad players can have huge impacts on the game even in tiny ways. A bad player can’t do reliably that may not stand out as much as a bad giveaway or something, but the inability to make a tiny easy pass like that not only neutralizes potential offensive zone time but it leads to a penalty against. Brutal.
