At the risk of selecting arbitrary probabilities:
  • Z = GA - GF
  • P(Z > 0) = 0.80
  • P(GA > 2 | Z > 0) = 0.70
  • P(GF > 2 | Z > 0) = 0.20
  • P(AV gets fired) = -1.00
In short: inconsequential blowout incoming.

wat

When a guy is so dirty he accumulates penalty minutes for an unrelated team.

I always knew I hated James Neal.

Thats a pretty good pairing, they are doing well from what I've read. If we attack them with our bottom sixers, its probably not going to end pretty well for us.

We need to attack Dotchin who's playing on their top pair with Hedman. Hedman is a great player, but Dotchin is like a 7th D. KZB gotta attack Dotchin.

Dotchin and Hedman have both struggled together and individually if that makes sense, lol. Hedman may have the points but his play has not backed them up. I think KZB may be able to get past them, which will likely be that duos assignment from Cooper.

Bolts fan here! Girardi and Coburn have been a very good pairing and they are certainly holding their own in matchups against teams other top lines. Against the Panthers in their last game, the Hedman-Dotchin line was a dumpster fire and the Barkov line did most of their damage against our top pair D-men. Dotchin is the weakest link in our rotation (when Sustr is not playing). Hedman can sometimes make up for his mistakes but against an aggressive team, Hedman has not played great this year.

So are you guys happy with Girardi so far?

My favorite part about playing Tampa is various fans online waxing poetic about how they wish Callahan was still on the team

And we can add Girardi to that list now as well

Girardi is worst on the team by a mile in CA60 at 65 can't see how he's been very good. Coburn is second worst.

What is wrong with that? I still wish Callahan was on the team. At his current salary? Absolutely not. But Callahan, along with Lundqvist (most importantly), helped usher in a new brand of Rangers hockey. One we had not seen in quite some time.

Cally has been playing very well this year little to show for it on the score-sheet, but he is not getting PP time. That hip injury really set him back which the original procedure was not done properly.. But glad he is back strong, when a lot of people thought he was heading to the LTIR. He is on a 3rd line with Johnson tonight, but has been on the Bottom 6 not because of his play but with how good Tampa's Top 6 has been. So really he has been able to play his shutdown grinder game, and not worry about scoring for now. If the Rangers had Cally back at half his salary don't think there would be one complaint here.

Tampa's on fire right now. Their two top men Stamkos and Kucherov are a threat. Them two are leading the league in points. Tampa is first in the league, division and our conference. I certainly hope that AV keeps the KZB line together for this one. Also, our team better play a whole 60 minute game. I just don't have a great feeling about this one.
2 years ago I wanted us to make a play for Stamkos so badly. We had long debates on this board about Stamkos vs Nash, Stepan, and even RNH. I do not know if we ever had a shot but he is the kind of first line difference maker I would have really liked us to have on this team.

Stamkos is playing very well don't get me wrong, but he is certainly getting the benefit of playing with Kucherov who just can't stop scoring. Kuch has 13 goals now, Stamkos has 6 goals. See the difference? I think Kucherov is turning out to be a better player than Stamkos, imo. Kucherov will likely have his extension done next Summer, a year before his contract is up. It would be nice if the Rangers can get that one elite forward. Taveras maybe?

The irony of your post is that 2 years ago people were telling me that Stamkos could only score goals. That he could not produce in any other way. Kuch was already amazing last season and may be even better this season but we shouldn't sleep on Stamkos. He was and still is a legit producer. Always has been when healthy. I'd like to get Taveras and Leon. Can't one of our fans sell their soul to make it happen? Not me. I'm a good guy :D

Two years ago, Tampa fans were ok with Stamkos leaving and going to Toronto. Toronto fans even made banners, Come home and whatnot. Now Tampa fans love him again, and Toronto fans hate him again. Circle of life. lol.

Yeah, I've seen you say this before. I'll give Hedman the benefit of the doubt though, he's an excellent defenseman.

Oh yeah Hedman will certainly turn it around but this may be a good opportunity for NY to take advantage of him struggling now. Because when he is on his game, not easy to play against.

Tavares would be a nice addition

Smith was dreadful against Vegas, but so was Kampfer. Scratching Smith does nothing.

Kampfer is a freaking AHL player, he should never see NHL minutes outside of injury replacement. This is insanity. Truly. DeAngelo is in Hartford and Kampfer is still getting games.

Cut Kampfer, DeAngelo plays as 6D.

Because people still don't understand that just because he doesn't look like he's shit defensively, doesn't mean he isn't shit defensively. He bleeds shots against like crazy. Just because he's not bumbling around the ice and falling over himself doesn't mean he's not a mediocre player.
