I'm pausing the draft for a second here. I just realized while updating rosters that Khabby has picked 7 forwards. 1 of them has been cut but the rule has always been we replaced cut players at the end only and you need to roster the entire 6 forwards, 3 D and 1 goalie in the initial draft and replace cuts directly at the end.

Must have Missed him, Guess ill grab a back up later haha

So this pick will have to be changed to a defenceman or a goalie, but none of the guys who were taken after you(as that creates a whole new headache, and I think it's unfair as it's added info that someone else wanted them). We however have the unavoidable butterfly effect of guys who wanted Gauthier changing their picks, etc, etc.

I don't want to be slimy, but he was higher on my list than the guy I ended up picking.

I don't mind just moving on, though. I can't say with certainty I would've picked him.

I don't think there's anything slimy about it. If we did the draft correctly the first time the only way Khabby gets him is if he survives to pick 101 as he isn't allowed to pick another forward until then. So unless Statsy, 93LEAFS, tigervixxxen, PrntScrn, or FinPanda would have drafted him he would have been on the board for you to take.

The question becomes is it worth the headache and time required to figure it out. I'm going with yes, but I can be swayed if everyone else wants to just move on. That may be because I'm ok with who I got. There was only 1 person ahead of my 2 guys on my list, and I suspect they don't make it to me in a redo.

I also don't really want to create a precedent where someone does this on purpose hoping we get so far down the draft before anyone notices that we don't want to deal with the headache and then get their guy. Just imagine the same situation but just as it was Khabby's pick Will Smith got released. Suddenly it's a pretty big issue. I don't want to create a situation in a future year where someone can point to this year and say we did it in 2025 so give me Will Smith as my replacement in round 7.

Unless following a strict list nobody knows what they would do for sure. Unless someone ahead of you takes him you get to decide now. Gidlof then becomes available if @landy92mack29 wants him. If you switch I think it's fair to let give @Khabby the option of taking Gidlof with his late 7th rounder instead of Mynio as well as he was forced to now pick a G or D and Gidlof wasn't available.

I have a better idea. Instead of all these hypotheticals lets just go 1 by 1 in a do-over.
