He was my #1 as well.
Never expected him to be available that late, but as you've said, there's not really a ton of consensus this year.
I probably would've taken him at 1 if that's where I landed.

I'm enjoying watching people project the Canada lines over on that thread. No two projections are even remotely similar. One guy's first liner is the next guy's cut or fourth liner. I've never seen anything like this before.

Landing 1st overall this year wasn’t a huge advantage. Happy with Gabe, but I was between a bunch of names. No clear 1 for me. Trey was a consideration forsure

I was referencing Leonard being my #1, for the record. Looking back, I'm not sure my post made that crystal clear.
But I agree with you. I was hoping for something in the middle, because picking at the top definitely doesn't sound too appealing this year.
I just never expected to get my top choice at pick #8, allowing me to still get a premium piece at the beginning of the second round as well.

I wasn't prepared at all and know nothing about anything, I don't know even know team Finland. Huge disadvantage, but oh well.. its been the trend for last two previous years as well so would be so much easier to know the rosters haha.

For as unpredictable as this years tournament may be and as long as my #1 guy lasted now all my top 14 guys are gone. Buium and Dickinson were the other 2 guys I was considering at 12 but felt I needed a forward with 1 of my top 2 picks at least
That's sort of happened to me. Sure, some guys have been picked that I had WAY down my list, but definitely 10 of my top 12 are gone.

If Morgs doesn't pick by 5:10 PM EST, 24 hours since the last pick then he'll be replaced, he's also gotten a warning for all future picks even if he does
