[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

When I calm down, I think I’m going to appreciate the game.
But it’s upsetting when you don’t come up with the saves to keep it 3-1 or 3-2.
- Henrik Lundqvist

I think we played a great game. There was a little 12-minute stretch where we kinda sat back but you’ve got to give credit to them.
They played desperate. They came out as hard and their chances paid off but we got the two points and that’s what we’re happy with.
- Rick Nash

We got two points, that’s the feeling you have. I don’t think we played that badly in the third period.
We lose the puck on the wall on the second goal and we get running around a little bit on the third goal.
Even though we didn’t game some forechecking in the third period, I still thought we defended pretty well until the end.
We still hung in there. Hank stood in there strong and we get the two points and that’s the most important thing.
- John Tortorella

Heads Up: The GDT is work in progress.

Time to turn that power play around.

I hereby predict two (2) power play goals.

For every PPG, let's all donate money to charity. #NYRPPGCharity

$5/PPG for the SPCA.

Gabby has been cold for a few games. Home game vs the Isles is where he typically gets his mojo back and pots a few after a spell of bad games. Expecting Gabs to pot a few tonight.

Hey Torts. Just put 7 or 8 players on the ice to start the game and get it over with.

After 12 games Rangers have more bench minors than power play goals.

Won't matter for this one. Rangers 4 Wangs Gang 2

Gotta stay out of the box. Their power play is lethal. Even though we were 5-for-5 on the penalty kill last game, you don't want to press your luck against them. They may seem despondent, but they always play with a chip on their shoulder against us. Today is no exception.

Keep both win streaks alive: go for four and Isles continue to be win less at the Garden.

Their D is flailing. Drive to the net, hard. Don't be unselfish. Fire away. SOG is the name of the game. Fall behind, no worries: Isles lead the league with most goals allowed in the 3rd.

Go Rangers!

Expecting big things from Gaborik and DZ, they've been kind of quiet lately. Get a W, boys!

Last year on Feb 14th, Lundqvist played one of the best games of his career and we beat the Bruins 3-0. Interestingly I thought we played much better on Tuesday, but Lundqvist wasn't the superman he was in that game and they got more bounces than last game. I want to see Lundqvist get a shutout. Seriously we're superior enough to the Islanders for that to happen.

Today is Gaborik's birthday. 31. He was born on Valentine's Day.

Maybe he will pot a few tonight.

Actually Gabby has never scored a Valentines Day goal for the Rangers. However the Rangers have an extremely good record on Valentines and have lost only one Valentines Day (or day before/after) game in 7 years.

Hags is due for a stand out game soon...;)

Seriously....Richards will be the differense maker in this one....

Hopefully Richards and Stepan with couple goals a piece just to shut up all the haters.
