Yeah this sentiment bullshit isn't a good enough reason. Merrill is not a part of this teams success or its future, and he's probably not a better player than Buium at this point. Playing a worse lineup because you think Merrill deserves a shot to help the team win is ludicrous.

What if he has a year 3 breakout and we got ahead of it? Sanderson’s contract is going to be a steal for a long time because they got him locked up before a year 3 breakout. I’m sure sens fans aren’t upset that they burnt a year for nothing.
