Prospect Info: 12th Overall 2024 Draft, LHD Zeev Buium

Not playing Buium tomorrow would be negligent at best. There's a good chance he's already better than our bottom pair guys, and if he's not, at least you know that before the playoff games start.

It’s not like this is Ohgren or Stramel or etc either, Buium is an S tier prospect. Most S tier prospects can play in the NHL right away after 2 years of college hockey.

Yeah, Buium might be the best prospect we've ever had unless you want to count Kaprizov in his D+4 season. He can play.
 
Boldy is a no doubt, first line W. He was a really good prospect, and is a really good player. I'll be thrilled if Buium is as good as him. This team needs another really good, first line, forward.

I’d even settle for a legit 2nd line scoring winger.

I was going off of Guerin's comments, I paraphrase, "we're not bringing him here to not play him." That Hynes quote certainly tosses some water onto my fire, as well.

Damn, I get a super shiny new toy, I'm trying it out as soon as possible.
Wild shouldn't overthink this.
 
Ok, I'm not as upset about Buium maybe not playing today as I was yesterday; I just realized tonight is DnD night so I can't actually watch tonight's game. So I guess if he doesn't play it's fine. Maybe even for the best, save his legs for a non-DnD night.

I'd argue a playoff game, no matter the situation, is more must win than game 82 against a checked out Ducks team where if the team loses could have zero impact on the standings.
