But at this point, the Wild should create a video game called Grand Theft Defenseman: 12th overall after a 50 point NCAA championship and a WJC gold. Add another WJC gold(winning assist) and perhaps another NCAA, never a passenger, all at the tender age of 19.

Maybe karma has awarded the Wild Buium, Boldy and Rossi for never sucking up top picks over the years, cough Chicago cough.

I will say that Buium is coming into a pretty good setup. He will be playing on a team that has a need for a PP Dman, and will be surrounded by solid defensive Dmen as potential partners(Spurgeon, Faber). He has guys like Brodin to look to(again for defensive play), and a Star forward(Kap) to play with on the PP.

There will be no expectation for him to 'carry' the team, so he can be brought in slowly, as he adjusts to the league.

I have few worries about the D, going forward. If only i could say the same about the forwards.

Forwards will be better next year. Adding Yurov, $7M UFA, Ohgren and Kap/JEE.

Anytime would struggle in our scenario. If you removed Cirelli + Kucherov from TBL or Thomas + Kyrou from STL or Kopitar + Fiala from LAK, all would struggle to score

Yeah Boldy was held out by Evason, Evason also played Faber.

I think he'd let Buium play at least one regular season game, especially with Middleton out.

But ultimately as much as I wanna see Buium on the Wild asap, he's also our guy and I want him to have success when he plays, which means winning with Denver.

It was Guerin. Boldy went straight to the AHL.
