I agree. I just see him take one or two risks a game that I know will make this regime pull their hair out. I am so excited for him though. I think he steps in and plays PP1 immediately next year and puts up 50 points. Wouldn’t suprise me if he broke the franchise record for points as a defenseman as a rookie. They’ll use him like Montreal uses Hutson, though I think Zeev is a more natural defender.I think he picks his spots. He was noticeably un-risky during the WJC's since the US already had Hutson doing the hero ball thing from the back end.
Minnesota will fix his inability to lose big games. Poor kid has no clue what he’s in for.The kid just doesn’t lose big games. Flyers really should have drafted him and then offered Carle a blank check this spring
Destroyed by whom?Did not like the way Buium finished the game. He had the game in the bag if he chipped it over the blue line, but instead went for a ENG. If it had been icing he would've given BC another shot at tying it up. Selfish, and immature, as was his tacky mock salute to the BC bench after the goal.
Good luck to him if he tries that in the NHL. He'll get destroyed.

Counterpoint: he knew he'd score. Swagger. Confidence. Desire to win. Good attributes in a pro athlete. Plus, he has a relationship with those guys (Leonard, Perreault and Stiga). They've won together and they were punishing him all game. As cellies go, pretty mild stuff.Did not like the way Buium finished the game. He's on top of his world right now, has been for over a year, and it's been earned. I like the confidence and swagger it's given him on the ice, and I hope some of it rubs off on some Wild teammates. The last time I saw any real swagger on this team was when Foligno superman punched Dillon. That was 3 years ago.Counterpoint: he knew he'd score. Swagger. Confidence. Desire to win. You’d have to go back to the NTP where he was #40 (ew) and #12 (Boldy). 28 is a good number for him too it’s too bad Ohgren has it. A darkhorse number would be 8. It’s what his brother wears and close enough to 28.Has he been #28 everywhere? Ohgren has that now.
I'm shocked.I would be horrified if Buium made his nhl debut in the playoffs against the jets
In theory, but that's usual done by vets that have made millions for years.couldn't he pay him to give up #28?
