I use the all black ones from hockeystickman. Definitely get the job done for like 40% of price of your usual pro stock model.
ProStockHockey.com Usually a 100 Flex Mid Kick True Catalyst 9x3 if i can get one, Have a couple Ryan Johansen sticks at the moment
I’m usually a p92m 70ish flex. Been w the hyperlite and hyperlite2 for the last few years. I love the max blade but man it makes it so hard to find lol

Anyone have a stick hook-up?

I broke my hyperlite2 last week...still upset about it. I ordered a replacement, but was just curious how everyone else goes about their sticks etc
I've used prostockhockeysticks.com. They have three different levels of sticks, I bought two of the mid-level but would probably recommend the top model. They have the actual patterns of the pros, not just the typical stock ones

Always hard for me to say goodbye to a car that brought me such joy, but that day came today. It can't be just me who has had an attachment develop with his car.

Depends on how much I like driving it. Crown Vic? Yeah. Everything since then? Nah? Current Hyundai Sonata? Shockingly, yeah. Probably will. It's a good driver for highways. Not as good as a Crown Vic, but the adaptive cruise control and lane assists on it are right in the sweet spot and it makes the Capital Beltway a breeze. I didn't know that could happen.

Cars are strictly utilitarian for me. I have no urge for vanity or glamor. Give me peak fuel efficiency, tolerable amenities, and please make it not be bad to drive.

Muscle cars are the exception to all of that. I want a muscle car someday. Even if it comes after the death of the ICE, a muscle car can still exist if it's a stupid thing that drains the 900 mile battery in 150 miles through joyous excess. Most of my time in driving games is spent in muscle cars if they're an option. Especially if they're borderline undriveable.

If I had the wherewithall (and the bucks), I'd get the GTO Paul Newman drove in Slap Shot. My Pop had that exact car, same colors, and Landau roof, too.

Heck yes.

I have driven in many very expensive and very fancy cars. None of them ever struck me as worthwhile, though I always humor the owners because it is important to them. 80k for an Audi? Ridiculous. Stupid. Waste of money. 80k for a muscle car? Now THAT is a noble and wise investment. It's weird to me that muscle cars don't appreciate in value.

I would sometimes watch the Mecum Auctions and I remember seeing a 1970 Judge. Beauuuutiful car, low miles, original Hurst shifter...big hairy balls. I wasn't crazy about the paint (a mild blue), but that wouldn't be a deal breaker. It sold for $8,000 simply because it didn't have original matching numbers. Are you kidding me??? Go ahead and put $200K on a "matched" Judge, but when I'm tooling around like a pimp in New Castle County, Bucks, or Haddonfield, not a single person is going to say, "Nice car, but, uh, do the numbers match?"

You're sitting there at a light. A man waves at you. You think he wants to compliment your car. He pukes, then sprints and you and smashes in your window with his pocket rock.

"HARRY, DO THE NUMBERS MATCH!?"

Just taking a guess, but with the numbers not matching could they not be fake parts the last owner put on to try to keep it original?

Mecum does (or did - I haven't watched an auction in several years) their homework. What usually happens is something breaks or they were not able to locate the original part if the car was bought from a previous owner. The sellers are very upfront about it. The announcers explain to the audience, "Now, what we have here is a 1970 GTO Judge, 4-speed transmission, original paint, but not matching numbers..."

I don't care about the matching numbers, which is why (among many reasons) I'm not a collector. Chances are the non-matched parts are still high-performance and high-quality or Mecum probably wouldn't even allow it into the auction.

I’ve almost bought a ‘70 twice in the last ~10 years. This must have been a long time ago or there was a lot more going on with that. ~5 years ago, it still would have set you back 20k. Even a project car ‘68-72 Judge is 25-30k USD these days. I mean not running. Figure you’re at 35-40k for a non-matching car that runs.

My dad is a massive classic car and motorcycle guy. Did most repairs and restoration himself and roped me into them for basically all my life. What stopped me both times was remembering how much money and effort it took him to maintain them. You can afford to buy a very nice classic Ferrari. I promise you. The cost of keeping it on the road is a completely different animal.

f***ing power outages
Over 28 hrs for my mom (supposedly restored at 7pm this evening) in Bucks. She had to come to my place in Philly with my brother.

Time to get a Generac since these extreme weather events will be more frequent.

Anybody have one? We have a regular gas generator but just eats up too much gas and is not a whole home system like a Generac.

Ever since I moved up to Bucks County from the city it’s definitely been a difference in the power outages/the time it takes for power to go back on.

Mine is currently out but fortunately my dad lives close by & his is on.
