This is how you start an obit. My word.

It's not one the Beach Boys' absolute best known songs but I've had In My Room in my rotation a lot the past couple months. Such a tranquil, relatable tune and obviously a very personal song for Brian. I can't get enough of it.

Rest easy Brian. The legends keep falling. :(

Yes on a hoagie or sandwich, but there are better options to cook with. I am not a fan of roasting them, which is an Italian staple..

Exactly and I'm not sure yet which other context I would want them. Had them in an "Italian" Stromboli from the local Italian Eatery/Bakery. Added a nice little pop. Probably would have preferred the Cherry Pepper Relish Hoagie Spread, but I didn't hate them.

Banana peppers rule. Has this ever been controversial? They're as universal as pickles, at least in my walk of life. Might be because a bunch of my friends are also Italian heritage lol

Born and raised in the coal region - I was exposed to all kinds of foods when I was young. Half Lithuanian, a quarter French-speaking Belgian, a quarter English/Canadian (from what I've been told - there are likely other percentages in there). Worked in a hoagie/cheesesteak shop as a teen. Italian, Irish, English, Eastern European, PA Dutch, I've probably eaten it. We had a complement of many ethnicities in my area.

I didn't have Chinese food until I visited relatives near Philly when I was around 10 years old, we didn't have any Chinese restaurants in my area. I'd eaten tacos at home as a kid, but we didn't have a Mexican restaurant in town until I was in my teens. I didn't eat Chinese food again for nearly another decade until I was in the Army. Some buddies and I went to a place just outside of Ft. Campbell, and I asked one of them, "I don't know, what's good?" Beef Lo Mein - which is still one of my go-to Chinese dishes to this day, lol. I wish I was 18 again though!

Longhots are vastly superior to banana peppers. I’ll take them each and every time over banana.

When getting sausage however, I’ll almost always go mild over hot. I think mild has a better flavor to them that trumps the heat of the hot.

There's a butcher shop nearish to me who makes their own homemade brats. Every flavor I've tried has been fantastic, but they've got a Hatch Green Chili one that's the perfect blend of heat and flavor. Probably the best sausage I've ever had short of kielbasa from an authentic Polish market.
