My moms family lived just west of Philly, and every time we went up to visit when I was a kid we would hit up the Shady Maple Smorgasbord. Man I mis that. The drive to get out there is so beautiful.

I love just going to that store there. I've only done the Smorgasbord once too. Everything was in a reasonable driving distance from Lancaster and that's why I liked it.

I always love going to Hersheypark and seeing the Amish there in lines for rides.

Those could be Mennonites. They look the same, but they participate more in "modern" society. The first time I went to the Park City Mall in Lancaster they were all over the place and I was like, "What are they doing here? They can't have any of this stuff?"

Actually had a Mennonite on the hockey team at college. His name was Mead.

Mennonites suck to play against. They all use tree trunks and have farmer strength. They usually slash you to hell, too.

Is it like licks to the center of a tootsie roll pop?

We go through this because she says I fly through deodorant while she barely uses any. Like a 3:1 ratio if not higher.

Neither of us are smelly people ( that im aware of) and I'll admit im a but neurotic about not wanting to sweat stain dress shirts at work, but I just wanted to understand how neurotic, I guess.

Ok, my wife and I have this debate every few months and I figured id check in here for expert analysis, obviously:

How many up and down motions/rolls of deodorant to use on a standard basis? How long does a stick of deodorant typically last you?
I get the kind that clicks. Two clicks per armpit for a full day first thing in the AM. One click for a lazy day I know I won't be doing anything or showering mid day and applying late, etc. A stick lasts 1-2 months maybe? I never really pay attention.
(and shave your armpits, you use less and sweat less if you are smooth)

Well? What about you?

Im a down up and im usually 2 iterations of that (down up down up) on a normal day.

If I go to the gym before work its one iteration, knowing im going to shower and reapply right after.

If im presenting in a meeting or something, its 3.

Maybe pressure? Hair? Type of deodorant you're using? Maybe you have really big armpits? I feel like a stick of deodorant lasts me forever. I don't use anti-perspirant though. Seems weird to me. How's it keep you from perspiring? Doesn't seem right.

I had to be the smart ass so...

Down up down up... and I get it by the 4 pack so I can't say how long it lasts... I just buy it again when the last one is opened

Im no scientist but the zinc(or maybe aluminum) is supposed to block your sweat glands i think. To your point, probably not the most natural approach.

The only correct answer is three motions per armpit, in very specific order.

Down
Up
