A team will take a chance on him for a million or so next season, but they sure as hell aren't giving up assets to get him, nor are they signing him to a contract they can't easily bury.

What’s very notable is how slow this team is. With the bad camera angle, I thought Bertuzzi was Maroon. Outside of mikayev and Reichel, this team has zero speed at forward

Realistically what do tank fans have to fear? How will this team get better? It won't get better through addition or subtraction unless fiddy's favorite player gets injured again. I don't think the second tier prospects in Rockford will play much better than the vets who may be moved at the tdl are playing now.

Hell, Mrazek's been playing like ass since returning from injury, but it's not out of the realm of possibility his play improves and gets back to what it was in a matter of a few weeks.

Or just unlucky/a product of bad linemates/poor team around him, etc? With Reichel not panning out its really gonna sting if Nazar ends up busting too. I haven't seen Nazar being very dynamic as a playmaker at all, or really being guilty of trying to do too much. If anything, I think he looks way too passive and unsure at the moment. He doesn't seem to understand what he can and can't do at this level but the real problem is that he doesn't seem to even be testing himself? The highlights I saw in Rockford showed a kid cutting around D, driving aggressively, carving his way through the ice and defenders but I haven't really seen him attempt to do any of that in this stint. He's playing too safe; too conservative.

This rebuild and tank stuff is getting to be bullshit now, I mean 3rd straight year we are looking at the worst record or close to it. Other franchises compete every year, rebuild on the fly. Chicago teams have to go to the very bottom of the league before building back to even competitiveness. This team is almost impossible to wtch, the are horrible

Five+ years from now when all of the highly rated prospects are solidly established bottom six guys while plenty of those drafted a few picks later are doing a bit better. It's a nice 10 year career as a GM.

It also reeks of BS when you have kids like Dach and Slaggert buried in AHL beyond slop we have here

And signing Martinez + Brodie to intentionally block kid from roster was foolish

This past offseason was a big failure by Davidson. You can accumulate all the talent you want but its detrimental to the few kids you allow on your roster to be surrounded by shit and awfulness at NHL level

BUT Hall Bedard and Jones on for 9 of the 20 GA at 5x5 and Bertuzzi on for 8GA 5x5..

Looking at Jones specifically in total for last 5GP
he has been on for 14GA in all situations.. breaks down as on for:

9GA at 5x5
2GA on PK
2GA EN
1GA on PP (gave up a shorty)

Let us all admit Jones re-insertion has not been triumph.
