Observe the Killorn in its natural habitat

Good win in division.

I can only imagine...ref this and ref that...better team lost etc etc

I know we all give him lots of criticism ( mostly warranted ) but I don't think I could take it seeing him fall down celebrating a goal on another team.
Mostly unwarranted. Reliable, .6 pts per game, +87, +CF, +OZS, rarely misses games and has two Cup rings. Don't really get why people like to shit on him as much as they do.

He was snakebit throughout the playoffs, after arguably the best regular season of his career, and people thought he was done.
This has been going on since long before his snakebitten playoffs last year and it continues now despite a pretty damn good start to this season as well. People get an idea in their head and won't let go of it despite what is actually happening on the ice.

Look at his RS production over the past 4 years, "we can replace him easily" loool.

People don’t hate Killorn, they were disappointed that he had 0 goals when just a couple of goals from our depth players might have allowed us to threepeat. He had a history of coming in clutch in dire times but last playoffs his offense completely dried up. While Hagel or Cirelli had good excuses for not hitting the net (injuries) Killorn apparently was healthy but just not contributing offensively at all.

Combine that with the fact that one of Palat and him had to go in the off-season, the fan base was split on the idea of keeping Killorn, who looked like he was done being a factor. In general I’d say he’s pretty well liked around here and him falling on the ice twice per game makes everyone chuckle.

Nice turnaround so far this season, but keep in mind y’all, that he’s always been streaky as hell.

I would have rather lost Killorn than Palat. But that's more about how good I think Palat is. Killorn is an impact player who had one really bad playoff run.

I was wondering why I couldn't find the replay on ESPN+.

Speaking of which, ESPN+ has a 48-hour blackout window in the Lightning's market which really sucks because there aren't many games I watch live, making it very difficult to see the replay in any kind of a timely order. The streaming website I've used for years no longer use streams that allow you to rewind all the way to the start of the game (which SUCKS; those streams were priceless), and the only website I've found that archives every game for free has the fatal flaw of pretty much always using the winning team's broadcast, which is of course a terrible instant spoiler and thus is only useful for ESPN or TNT games where there's only the one broadcast.

This season has been a lot less fun for watching hockey than I've been used to for the better part of the last decade.

Keeping Palat would've been shooting ourselves in the foot, the guy is already down and injured 6 games into his 5 year deal. Keeping Killorn for his final year was a no-brainer in terms of value.

How do 2 guys who are "injured' have an excuse but the 3rd guy who has to play with them doesn't? A massive part of his offensive struggles was because he was playing with 2 black holes, Hagel missed a dozen golden chances last playoffs.

If 20 game samples are a good indication of "being done" then Hedman is cooked.

Because one played without both his shoulders and required off-season surgery and the other had a broken foot while Killorn didn’t suffer / play through any (known) major injuries. But I get your point and it’s a good point. Still, 0 goals in 23 games and with tons of TOI is - let’s call it surprising - for a guy with an established reputation for timely goals in the post-season.

Re: Hedman: well it’s not, see Killorn this season heh.

Surprising, yeah, but Killorn's not the caliber of player where 20+ game droughts aren't going to happen. He's an impact player who struggled at a very important time. But I dont think it's fair to use that as a predictor of the future, especially after the regular season he had.

ESPN+ has gotten better. At first I couldn't even find the replays or start the games from the beginning (which I now can). I'm out of market now. (lived in Clearwater for 20 years) so I don't run into that thankfully. Blackouts need to be done away with already though... Such a ridiculous carry over from a bygone era.

Good luck with your search...it really makes no sense to make it this hard for fans to support their teams!
