There's more to speed than just scoring and offense. His pace means he's quick on pucks and he's quick to get to and create puck battles and shut down plays along the boards. That gives the opposition less time and space to generate offense of their own. I think Koepke is quite good in that regard but it's near impossible to measure in any tangible way.

You imply he doesn't hit but he's credited with 72, which is 3rd most amongst the Bruins forwards this season. Perhaps he doesn't hit that hard, but the effort and intent are there at least. I would agree that it would be nice to see him do a bit more work on the PK. But perhaps that will come in time.

All in all, I see a handy 4th-liner. Not irreplaceable by any means, but solid and offering a little more than just any dime-a-dozen guy. And his speed, on a team that is overall slow, is important IMO, and makes him more valuable here than he might be elsewhere.
I like Koepke a lot - smart competitive guy plays physical to me

Could get 15 goals at 10 minutes a game no PP time

Koepke has 72 hits just as much Jesper Boqvist has 74

He's fine its just he doesn't have much more to his game than what we've already said and just because he brings that speed, doesn't mean a replacement cant do the same

Panthers and Leafs both lost so it’s almost like last night’s loss to Columbus didn’t happen. 😀
Yeah but schedule gets pretty hard after tonight. I don't really see any of the other teams in our division catching fire and pulling away with 1 seed and kind of expect all to finish the year pretty close.

panthers, columbus, leafs, rangers, devils, ottawa and penguins all lost tonight,
so the Bruins are just two behind the leafs and cats in the Atlantic

Zadorov jersey is en route.

I just love his mentality. He’s the ultimate team dude and I absolutely question anyone who doesn’t appreciate his game.

There were a few people who said “he’s a terrible hockey player” - I won’t put them on blast, but I kind of want to. You know, the ~%|£| X 76/4

That crew.
