Mason Lohrei a plus 4 and when McAvoy was out, I thought he looked fabulous at the point running the pp. I also wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up with an assist on the Koepke goal.
I thought Lohrei has been playing pretty good lately and he's really good on the PP, but according to some fans he should stay in the AHL

Great postgame interview with Lysell’s parents. Great moment for them. He looked good. Not noticeable, which is good for a kid in his NHL debut. With any luck he gains some confidence and can start to impact the game
He didn’t hurt us tonight and had a decent 1st game. I really don’t like the line combination he’s on, but that’s not his fault.

Good win. A Bruins win.

Geekie player of the game? 1 goal, 2 points, rocked Provorov.

Swayman was very good. No softies today.

Lohrei 19+ minutes, 1 assist, +4. I know he can be frustrating at times but it's not that he can't play defense it's that he's inconsistent. The habits come and go.

Bounce back game from Carlo too. Led all skaters with 21:17, 1 assist, +1, 4 blocked shots.

Good start for Lysell too! Kept it safe and helped open the scoring.

People complain when there’s no response, then they complain when there is a response. Figure out what the f*** you want people.
Exactly!!! Give the big boy a Break. He did a hell of a job against clearly one of the top 5 fighters in the entire league, He's been what this team has been missing back there for sometime now.

Lohrei is a microcosm of this entire Bruins team. Good one night, not so good the next. You keep hoping he figures it out and just when you think he has, he takes a step back.

Lysell was good on the first goal. No assist but he made that play happen. If he can develop and maintain a solid work ethic he has a shot at this. Needs to use that speed all the time though, not just occasionally.
Much better effort for the most part and Swayman with some big stops when they faltered a little in the second.
Good to see Zadorov step up to Olivier. That guy is a beast and I don't fault Geekie for not fighting him at all.
Solid team effort. Vintage Pasta on those breakaways.

Made some real smart decisions in his own as well, he's highly skilled with his stick in tight area's, being able to escape from some dangerous situations, stealth like.
What some fans don't realize is that Lohrei is only 23 and hasn't even played a full season in the NHL

I think he has lots of potential and just needs more experience and good coaching

It was, and fair enough, but overrated by who? Don't think anyone here thinks the sun shines out of his ass, just that he's a decent enough 4th-liner. Which he is. Waiving him would be a complete waste.
He's decent but he doesn't bring many intangibles that you want out of a 4th liner whether it be hitting, penalty kill, face-off ability, etc.

Koepke brings speed and thats about it so he's going to take some flack when he's not scoring versus someone like Beecher who can still play 2 minutes of penalty killing, crush the face-off dot and still get just as much in the forecheck

I thought Zadorov did well in that fight

Olivier hit was clean but still it’s freaking 3 days after Christmas and 4-0. Dude chill- I’m McAvoy I let him go bald

Kastelic did very well in the fight and has been a great addition

Nice call by myself when everyone was in tears over the Ullmark return last June to point out that Kastelic was a tough sob and would be a great Bruins

Thank you Donny as well

Lysel's first shift was with the 4 worst plus/minus players on the team.

And they scored.

Had forgotten that he played a lot last season on a line with Brazeau in Providence. They looked in synch on that first shift.
