One heck of a win for the Oilers. To go into STL and win is no easy task, looks like they were the team in control judging by the shots and shot attempts too.

Oilers fans have a point about McDavid getting mugged pretty much every night but tonight I think the officiating has been fine.

It's a 2-2 game in the 3rd and McDavid is on a breakaway, Pietrangelo commits two blatant hooks that prevent McDavid from getting off a shot, and no call was made... how are Oilers fans supposed to feel about that play? Add the fact that the Blues were running interference on him all game and it gets tiring to watch the refs sit on their whistles while the mediocre Lehtera's of the game can hold McDavid half the game to neutralize his speed.

At least Fabbri gave the Oilers, and his friend McDavid, a gift 3-on-2 in OT to allow Edmonton to win the game.

Through the first 79 games of his career, McDavid's longest pointless streak is two games.

Not a lot of high percentage stuff the first two periods. Didn't turn into an actual hockey game until the third.

Meh. Oilers have been playing mediocre for weeks now and tonight was more of the same even with the shot advantage. The 15+ games to start the season were spectacular compared to the garbage now. I have not seen the 3rd period even strength domination for 10+ games I think.

If Oilers keep this up they might break some NHL record for most OT/SO games played in season.

they dominated the game start to finish. blues had almost zero offensive zone time. mcdavid got hooked and grabbed all night. hooked on a breakaway. zip. kid has to fight through it. refs aren't calling that yet even though its warranted. gotta earn it.

I disagree, St. Louis was the better team in the 1st, got up 2-1 and then seemed to take the rest of the game off. Oilers were better in the 2nd and the 3rd. St. Louis was lucky that they got a point off that horrific Hutton giveaway with 30 seconds left in regulation. Lucic hits the post or it's over in regulation.
