Hey, I said 5-2 and it was 5-3 . Let me up..

All good. Some of us regulars have PTSD from 2019 is all

Something tells me there's some scouting out on the cross ice pass to trailing D on the rush. Geeze that was blowing up in our face all night.

Just a reminder since we've been winning games, the fire Cooper brigadier general hasn't made a single post

Have i done it again? Have I retired another poster?
I feel like everyone on this board has been proven wrong, and sometimes brutally wrong, at least a few times.

Not much rises to the level of Matt Watson's elite fandom. Maybe the guy who made threats over criticism/insults to Ryan Callahan. But even that guy seemed like a good guy with a hot head.

So, nobody wanted to bite in the middle of the game: my question—what IS 23 worth on the open market? I’ll say somewhere around $3M. Thoughts.

If some team thinks they can put him on a scoring line, I can see 3m. I think he needs to end the year with at least 25 points for another team to buy in on that idea though.

Certainly, but dying on a hill and being known for it is different than being wrong on a lower level or several times over.

Good shout on the Callahan guy. He was actually somehow an insurance agent, or so he claimed, of his at one point. That's why there was a neverending fetish of defending his every stride.

I'm pretty sure he had a real life connection to Callahan and Callahan helped out his family in some way. I have no reason to doubt it. Cally seemed, and seems, like a great guy. And I'll defend that guy for the most part. I think he's around the mains as Leonardo87 now??? Or something like that.

I don't think he's a bad guy, but wow did criticism of Callahan hit a nerve with him. And I remember he used to count posts hit as if they were goals or assists for Callahan ("really it's like he has 20 goals because he has 16 but he hit 4 posts" etc). And then that one way out of line, and yet hilarious, time that he threatened to "end" someone over a Callahan insult.

Fun times.

The best part was how he just suddenly became an Anahiem fan, changed his username and everything.

Interesting timing praising Cooper when they almost blew a 4-0 lead against freaking Columbus, AGAIN and all because they stopped playing hockey and had like 5 shots in the last 30 minutes. Wins are good but who did they beat? Columbus, Seattle, Calgary... Only Vancouver is a playoff team. That's the bare minimum. Win me 2 games against the panthers then we'll see.

I wasn't referring to you, but I find this comical.

We sit 4 points behind 1st in the Atlantic with +2 games in hand over all three ahead of us within that margin. We have the best goal differential in the Atlantic (32), trailing only Washington (35), in the entire Eastern conference. Third fewest goals given up in the East as well. Still in the top 10 including the West. All while having a mighty 4th line that had 5 goals combined in 29 games. Not to mention a revolving door in the bottom six and a banged up, underperforming, inconsistent defense.

And yet, you're still expecting more. Lol. You realize we lost Johnson, Maroon, Perry, Joseph, Palat, Killorn, Gourde, Sergachev, etc? Right? You understand the drop in play realistically that is to be expected by a team in transition? Yet, we are still in a great spot and playing well. Hats off to Cooper and whatever he's doing because if it was anybody else, I think we'd be in a worse position.

It's more not cooper that people were mad at least me, it was special teams that was aggravating me like if it's not working change it or get a new special teams coach to replace

We are currently:
3rd in GF
5th in GA
3rd in PP
16th in PK
3rd in goal differential
11th in points %
The most glaring reason we've stopped sucking ass recently revolves around the special teams and Vasy, imo. PP is clicking and Vasy is making the routine saves. It also helps we are scoring like crazy right now, too.

That's fair but it's also unlikely staff gets fired during the season. There have been mid season changes in responsibility but this was expected the moment Stamkos left. We went from over a decade of someone hitting one timers on the left being our go to and fallback, to not having even a RH shot over there. It's taken a dynamic change for Point to fallback as that guy, then creep in while a lefty takes the spot. Both force Kucherov to make a different pass. I said this repeatedly when Stamkos/FA day happened, we have no RH shot capable of hitting one timers, so it's gonna look very different. That's why even Raddysh had time there. The fact that we sit 3rd in PP statistics losing the 2nd biggest goal scoring weapon this generation is a testament to Cooper, Kucherov, Hedman and Point. Anybody think Washington survives post-Ovi with Carlson and whoever else is left to stay near the top? I dont.

I'm honestly surprised it took that long to start figuring it out. And, given how bad the PP was to start the year, it shows how lethal it's been since moving Point.

It looks like the set up we had with Drouin-Hedman-Kucherov, except Point moves around a lot. That movement, in itself, is tough to deal with.
