Yep, we sure didn't 'deserve' a win per se, but this team is also going nowhere with league near-worst goaltending, either. Not good enough to overcome that night after night.

I'd say we'd have at least 5 more wins with better goaltending other than what we have going on right now. Both guys have cost us games we should've won.

Jeff Carter: You don’t make playoffs winning at home and then going on the road and [messing] the bed....We're fragile. We're a fragile team

Damn Carts spilling the truth

Interesting statement by Carter. They've sucked plenty at certain points the last few years but the leadership always just brushed it off and got them refocused. Maybe Kopitar isn't the right option for captain.... Too even keeled. Doughty is way too emotional. Missing that Williams/Richards/Stoll/Mitchell calmness and wisdom.

Muzzin-Martinez combined -7 :shakehead

I'm putting it all on Muzzin. He's been bad all year. He hasn't done much of anything. At least Martinez has won a couple games in OT. Muzzin is just skating like he's either hurt or completely out of shape. Not sure he's had even one really solid game. A couple EN goals. He's just been playing like garbage.

Muzzin was bad but he wasn't responsible for all those minuses. One of them was when Martinez got picked. Last one was when Brown decided to bird watch instead of defend the guy alone in front of the net.

In both games vs the Sens, his inability to make a simple 4 foot pass resulted in goals, including the gwg in Ottawa. Tonight was another example of a poor game.

Not sure I'd say they've been able to refocus over the last couple years. We all thought they still had things under control in 14-15, and then they couldn't win a must win game in Edmonton. Then they blew a 12 point lead and the division in the 2nd half last year. Couldn't win a division winning game at home when they had a 3-0 lead against the Jets.

I'm getting more and more convinced they all sold their souls for that 2014 run. What with it being all kinds of insane in basically every possible way.

True. I was thinking more the 2012-2014 years.

so is this still Kopi's fault? or Doughty? or Toffoli??

or is it blatantly obvious that it's our ****** goaltending!

Yeah, plenty of blame to go around. I'm just surprised at how bad he's looked on pretty much every shift he's taking. I'm sure that can't be completely accurate, but can anyone remember one good moment for him? Like everyone else, there's a quality play you can remember. There's a highlight. You can point to something. With Muzzin, he's just slow, mentally and physically, and getting outmuscled. Are his legs hurt? Is that back injury or whatever he had in junior coming back to bite him? Is he eating like a normal everyday non-hockey player, and just not up to NHL level conditioning?

We know he's got the talent.

Funny thing is, if one of us posted that opinion shared by Carter, we'd get ripped for being negative, lol.

Carter also showing he has more leadership skill than anyone else on the team.

I also see more are coming around to the realization that Jake Muzzin is a dumbass. Seems to be more clueless than ever before.

I'll care about their quotes when we see how they respond Thursday in another house of horrors, Detroit!

What's the worst that could happen? A puck deflects 30 feet high off the netting and goes in for the GWG?

I just hope teams keep going for the pretty play to beat the Kings and don't figure out all they have to do is just put the puck on net.

That World Cup thing went straight to his head and messed him up. I'm trying to think of a good game or two this season where he showed consistent play. He's much better than what we're seeing.

The team misses Richards leadership. Kings still don't have any Cups without that man.

Full quotes by Carter. Sounds (rightfully) pissed off at the team effort.

Sounding like a captain.
