After seeing this team through more than 10 games, I just don't see a bottom 5 team.

we're looking more like a 10th-7th placed team right now, win one lose one, And this is without a high-level playing Gardiner and Lupul on the team(and gunnar the past few games).

Reimer is also back to his old self, so goaltending isn't nearly as bad as it was last year(a soft goal every game).

So educated guess wise, we're looking at a 10th-15th overall pick.

Love this. Hopefully one of Ristolainen, Erne, Mantha, or Shinkaruk are there for our pick. Any one of them would be an excellent addition to the group we've been assembling.

RC Defensive system with an old solid james reimer vs. Run and Gun with terrible goaltending. There won't be a collapse like that this year.

With the Leafs...nothing is assured.

They can play good from here on and make the playoffs with ease or they can bomb and go on a huge losing streak.

Very inconsistent team. I see us picking top 10.

To answer interactif from the last thread.. I'm not a scout or anything close to it lol. I don't watch many guys outside the Mooseheads tbh, unless it is the WJ or prospects game. I don't know much about Erne at all.

Other than last year, when was the last time we went on a massive 15 game or so losing streak?

the 09-10 team was horrendous on paper and ice the 11-12 team had a huge system/goaltending problem, this team at least looks decent on paper and doesn't seem to have massive holes like the run and gun system from last year.

If it's top ten, you're talking 7-10th pick imo at best, I mean come on, we went 6-5 with Kessel scoring ONE goal, unlike his usual fast starts.

Not saying playoffs, but we look alot more like the 2nd half of 2010-2011 with Reimer being solid in net and ending up 9th-10th.

If we're in the mid teens, what about Kerby Rychel? Seems like a kid that would fit in well with our hard working, gritty prospect pool. The kid can definitely score too.

CLB has 3 first round picks? Wow.....

Drouin too.:)

Hope Rangers and Kings pick up their play. It would be too ridiculous for a team to have 3 top 10 picks.

I hope they don't Columbus could use a break. and since Monahan's name is in the title he put up a hat-trick tonight with an assist for a 4 point game in an 8-5 win over Windsor

You just don't know where this team might end up picking. If they can be half as good at home as they've been on the road, then top 10 could even be a stretch.

Will see what happens. Wherever we pick, just want it to be the right choice.

I was under the assumption that the LA pick they got was for last years draft, someone can correct me on that though.

CLB badly needs those picks anyway, an extremely barebones team minus two high-end d-men(JJ and Ryan Murray.) Basically the maple leafs from 07-09.

Looking more and more like Washington ends up bottom 5, nothing going well there. But no way does Philly stay low, they're back on track now, NYR as well will be much higher.

IMO bottom 5 will be:
1) CLB(no brainer)
2) Calgary(they look terrible)
3)Washington(wildcard but they look terrible right now)
4) Florida(system not working very well)
5) NYI(Just lost 4 in a row)

Edmonton will be close afterwards in the 5-10 range. Starting to not really see the leafs being around here.

I think I'll need to re-adjust my focus towards the top 11-20 now...I just have my top 10 wishlist for now:

1) Jones
2) Mackinnon
3) Drouin
4) Barkov
5) Lindholm
6) Monahan
7) Nichushkin
8) Ristolainen
9) Pulock
10) Nurse

I'm pretty sure the pick was conditional. When LA made the playoffs, Columbus got to choose between a 2012 pick and 2013, and it looks like they chose wisely by making it the 2013 pick.

And on the other end of the spectrum, New Jersey still has to give up a 1st round pick, either this year or next, because of the Kovalchuk thing.
