I hate Kakko with Panarin. Why not let Kakko try to fill the Buch role instead of the Fast/Blackwell role on their respective lines. It's been said ad nauseam, but Kakko plays a better game the more he has the puck. That ain't happening when he's with Panarin and Strome.

It makes so much sense to try Kakko on the line with Mika and Kreider I have to think Gallant is going to try it at some point. Neither line in the top 6 is working at 5v5 so he’s going to have to try some other combinations at some point and that seems like a reasonable one to try.
 
Would it make sense to try laf on the wing w Panarin and Strome? He plays a game that would mesh better with the stepbrothers than kakko's game
 
Chytil is only 22?! I thought he was 25 and this is his make or break year!

I'm so exhausted with them trying to fix the RW on that line. They need to decide, once and for all, if they can afford/want to re-sign Strome. If the answer is no, then they need to rip that band-aid off as soon as possible and deal with the fallout in the early part of the season. The second to last thing I want to see is Panarin pouting down the stretch because his security blanket got traded away. The LAST thing I want to see is wasting the asset that Strome is. We have the cap to retain 50%. It makes no sense to self-rent if we aren't signing him long-term, and it doesn't make sense to delay matters if they DO want to re-sign him (because he'll know he'll have the team by the balls if they let things go past the TDL). It's shit or get off the pot time, and they NEED to make a decision on Strome.
