"That's what I love about these world junior championships, man. I get older, they stay the same age."

It's that time of the year again. Dazed and confused as a year has passed without anybody knowing where it went. We've been treated to a Michkov to brighten the darkest season (as in time of year, I'm sure the Flyers have had worse seasons) but now we can start looking ahead to christmas lights and exciting junior hockey. Get your draft sheets ready!

@BigToe is the defending champ and has signed up for the title defense. Last years thread

Rules of the game

Points

1 point for goal or assist.

Goalies get points for save percentage in the game:
1 point for >= 80%SVS
1 additional point for >= 90% SVS
1 additonal point for a shutout.
I.e. max point total for a goalie in one game is three points.

In case of a 0-0 game going to the shootout both goalies will be awarded a shutout.

Draft
10 round snake draft. 6F, 3D, 1G.

Replacements
If you happen to draft a player who gets cut or injured prior to the start of the tournament and can't participate you will be able to replace him when the regular draft is done. Replacements will be made in the order the injured/cut players where picked.
If a player is injured during the tournament, he can be replaced. Any accumulated point totals by the replacement player prior to the replacement of the injured player will not be added to your score. I.e Player A gets injured and is replaced by Player B, who up to the time of the replacement has 4 points. These 4 points will not be included in your score.
Players knocked out of the tournament can not be replaced.

There, finally I've out-waited automerge and can continue.

We should get this show going so I will post the draft order in a few hours. First I have to heat up the ping pong balls for the draft to be properly rigged.

Ping pong balls have been heated and here are the results.

@pit have won the lottery and the first overall pick!

We won't utilise a clock to start with but if progress is slow I might introduce one. Please notify the next person after you've made your pick to ensure a smooth operation.

I am going to do what Briere should have done two years ago with his second first rounder...

I select Gabriel Perreault.

@BigToe , who is that choice Swedish forward you desire?
