Has anyone else been following this NJ drone stuff? People have been seeing car-sized drones every night for the last several weeks and no one has any clue who/what/where/why. Started in north Jersey and has spread across the state. Local government/authorities, FBI, The White House, etc all claim they know nothing. It's a bit unsettling at this point.
Being that I live in one of the towns where this has been happening regularly over the last week this is what HCette and I look like as we’re driving.

All I can think of is aerial photo mapping. Yes, in the era of Outer Space Machines that can do this, there are still companies that put planes in the sky to map and photograph the ground. When it's a place you probably won't notice them flying back and forth, but when it's a drone everyone gets on edge

Im assuming any company that has these devices would be forthright in coming forward that they are using this when the News Media, FBI, Federal, State and Local authorities are having discussions about it and trying to figure out what it is. Incursions over sensitive sights and nuclear facilities. Otherwise when you get tracked down your talking about massive fines and shutting you down.

It would have to be some foreign adversary, or group of individuals acting alone on this

Or... the FBI, Federal, State, and Local authorities know what it is but they can't tell the public.

Cody got the real Frost treatment -- A skilled center relegated to the checking line. Still had a few quality chances (did you get on the board?)
That was the real Frost treatment for sure last night. I should receive some votes for the Selke after that. Didn't get on the board. Did win an ozone faceoff the resulted in a goal, but didn't get an assist on the sheet.

Thought we were going to be in for a long one when we went down 2-0 less than 5 minutes into the game

The drones don’t have to be anything. I admit I’m overly sensitive to it because of how hard I had to have people work to do meaningful attribution in a field where everyone cried foreign agent hacks at the drop of a hat. I’ve directed response for incidents that turned out to be the Chinese or North Koreans or Iranians or Israelis. I’ve also handled plenty that just turned out to be a script kiddie. In most cases, even we didn’t know at first which of those it was and that’s with unfettered access to robust internal logging. Oftentimes, attribution was a concept not even worth attempting because of how difficult it was.

Neither me nor anyone reading this has the necessary information to know what’s going on. Either you leave it at that or you’re guessing. Guessing is fine, as long as we all understand that’s what we’re doing.

Came extremely close to pulling off a Michigan goal in my game on Sunday. Had the goalie beat but the dman knocked it off my stick at the last second.

Foreign or not, it seems like there's a response issue here. I certainly have no clue what it is, but I would have expected some sort of response to try to narrow things down after almost a month of this going on. It seems like they are either wholly incompetent, don't care at all, or know exactly what they are and won't tell us for whatever reason. EIther way, it's not very chill . I think back to that Chinese spy balloon they shot down last year with great fervor. They showed it live on the news and everything. It's all very weird to me, but maybe it's not that weird at all from your unique perspective.

Oh yeah, I understand the reaction completely. The only thing I can say is that as someone who did have to deal with these kinds of issues on a completely different vector, I'm not surprised.

This public face may be for competent or incompetent reasons. We'll likely never have the information to make that determination. Things like the weather balloon and the Merck collateral damage cyberattack are the exceptions to the rules.

So you’re saying it’s china.

Why is the link in German?
