Friends, if you're using Chrome, here's a temporary workaround:

1. "chrome://flags" into URL bar, then Enter.
2. Search for "dark"
3. Enable "Auto Dark Mode for Web Contents"

On one hand, I can't believe you're still using chrome with all the security nonsense and memory sinking it does

On the other hand, I'm sure Firefox sells my data too, we just haven't found out yet

I do not use Chrome. It's just most common. Firefox instructions:

1. "about:config" in URL bar
2. Find "layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override"
3. Set to "0"

Dark mode works on Chrome desktop for me. When I first looked my style variation was something weird like normal/alternate. I picked alternate and refreshed. Now its dark mode.
