Wait, people lineup 7+ hours before a concert for a spot in the pit? Not only are they doing that but they're also paying $500+$60 in fees on a single ticket. We have failed as a society.
Are you trying to neg something into existence again? The aliens thing is such bullshit, it's pathetic.
They don't really taste as good since Hostess went bankrupt and another company bought them. I know they say they're using the 'same recipe', but the coffee cake topping isn't as good and I don't think the cakes are quite as soft.No desire to listen to his music, but he makes a tasty snack cake.
How so, please expand. The aliens thing is such bullshit, it's pathetic.
What they are describing though defies laws of physics if true. The lack of any vapor/propulsion trail alone and going almost 60k feet in a split second. Why wouldn't someone be using this technology for air travel in the public sector, or any other transportation type...it could revolutionize almost everything.
I cannot in good conscience recommend Ambien and this amount of drinking
Your argument hinges on being skeptical that the government knows about and is hiding something that the rest of humanity isn't privy to? Wat.I'll play along with this ridiculous narrative. Let's say aliens do exist and want to come visit for noble reasons. Somehow the US government knows about them and the rest of civilization doesn't? A lifeform so advanced that it can travel through space at or close to the speed of light but the US government can somehow keep this all under wraps?
Also, this has absolutely nothing to do with the politics or the cause but... it's objectively hilarious to see a politician act like fasting for nine hours is some great accomplishment and even more hilarious to see that they're checking his heart rate after.
We had techies in HS...Bucks County Tech School across the street. We used to make fun of them and their shitkickers. But it was not a bad thing obviously in retrospect.
High school shop class is back—and it's showing students alternatives to 'traditional college'
High school classes like woodshop were seen as fixtures of the 20th century. Now, they are making a comeback.www.cnbc.com
College like our food industry is driven by profits more than ever...that is when you know you have to think more laterally....We've reached a point where the "old" model of school, aka the factory model, is no longer necessary. Additionally, the focus on "You must attend college to get a good job*" is a bunch of shenanigans. People pay huge money for good plumbers, wood workers, electrical, etc... I know a guy who just does Kitchen and Bath Remodels and he is booked out like a year in advance, strictly from word of mouth. We should be able to wrap up the basics of what is actually needed to be successful with reading, writing, and math by the time most students hit 16. From there they should be able to start to specialize in the area of their choice.
Even 10 years ago I was telling my 8th grade students that I would go to the Tech School for high school, which happens to be the Bucks County Tech School, to specialize in what I wanted to do and then get a 2 year Business Degree at Bucks County Community College.
I hired an 18 year old right out of high school to be a technology technician at my school after he left that Tech School. He had essentially been doing the job already as a student there for two years. He came into the interview, looking like he was 14 wearing his dad's suit, and was clearly the best candidate. The day he started he was already the best of the 7 techs I had. He went to BCCC on the side for network security stuff and got poached by Amazon within three years. He is able to make a killing before he would have even left a four year college and doesn't have massive student debt to pay off. There is no reason why that shouldn't be our model moving forward.
*I love the idea of college, like the environment of people working together to learn and specialize in specific areas, but that isn't really what college is anymore. We could accomplish the same thing in a shorter amount of time without all of the "extra" that the college experience currently provides. Which is essentially what college is now, an experience. Super fun. Loved it. Didn't need most of it to become a good educator.

I have no problem with that because that was the only way to buy concert tickets. That’s perfectly acceptable behavior. In my youth, see the 80s and early 90s we would wait in line to purchase tickets to a concert at the local record store.
If you don't quickly learn how to fly fish and promptly catch the wild trout of a lifetime, you are dead to me.@Chinatown88 I spent a few hours yesterday reading in a chair by a fire in Hobbiton. This trip rules.

In my youth (80s) we would wait in line outside Hecht's department store to buy Grateful Dead tix. Except the nice people at Hecht's didn't really want a bunch of hippies hanging out on the sidewalk for a few days before tickets went on sale (yes, really). So some bright soul got a few friends to hang out at a local iHop, with a list. You went to iHop, put your name on the list, and you didn't have to camp out overnight(s). You just had to check in at the iHop every few hours (don't remember the specifics). Then at some point, I guess the morning when tickets went on sale, the line would form outside Hecht's and everyone (being good rule-obeying Deadheads) would get in line according to where your name was on the list.In my youth, see the 80s and early 90s we would wait in line to purchase tickets to a concert at the local record store.
I mean they couldn't cover up like 1 person knowing that the President got a bl**j** from an intern.I think you misunderstood what I wrote.
All of this alien nonsense is contingent on the US government covering up knowledge.
What would make you think that the US government is capable of covering up aliens if they are that far advanced? The US government is certainly capable of having black projects, building R&D pretty far ahead of industry... (SR-71 for example)
Somehow they've managed to acquire an alien spaceship with lifeforms and covered it up? Give me a break. Sounds like something people believe who also think the word gullible sounds like orange juice when said out loud.
People want to believe there are aliens at Area 51. What's likely there is weapon research / aircraft / etc.
Let me be clear about this. There's a definite possible that life exists elsewhere.
