I am about 5 mis from there. It wasn't even raining here when the worst was hitting that area. 2 cars were caught up in it and 5 were killed, with 2 young tots missing. Three major roads are heavily damaged.
They still haven't found the 2 yr old and 9 mo old! For those that do not know, the rte they were on is a steep down hill, with high wooded banks. The rte goes into a flat area of the town, but there is a creek that runs to the del canal and river , all through heavily wooded steep terrain.

One side note, I think the spot they were lost is an entry way up a high bank to a development with what can only be described as castles. Hugh, hugh homes, probably 3x the size of my suburban 4 Br place.

Hopefully you don't look like Torts now..

I do have an urge to walk up to young people and push them down.

Do you want me to beat up the horse

Be on the lookout. The A.I. bad actors are mobilizing..

Interesting and scary. A few weeks ago, I received an email that appeared to be several replies in among different individuals whom I didn't know about an alleged architectural project and the funding available to complete it. I have nothing to do with architecture and am doing zero work on my home. The text was just coherent enough to be interesting but it was devoid of details that would go along with any real interaction. I looked up the different individuals named and, sure enough, they are involved in building houses, but nowhere near where I live. The top-line email was something to the effect of "Let's bring [MY NAME] into the discussion."

I was fascinated and concerned by how elaborate the email was. I have never seen anything like it.

Your AOL security finally breaking down?

A few weeks ago I drove through the area of the walking dead ....surreal.

Yeah I remember when I was young as a kid going to the shops down there with my mom. But that was before the drug trade completely took the neighborhood over & turned it into a third world country. As I got older it became the butt of the joke. But now it’s just downright sad & doesn’t appear to be getting any better any time soon.

Grew up there, used to go to the library at what’s now needle park all the time. Hell, even then I think it was needle park but it was NOWHERE near as bad. If the sun was up you were generally safe.

The city must feel like if they isolate the zombies to Kensington, they wont migrate to other parts of the city. Not sure what the solution is.
