Thank you. Yeah I think if our defense in the NHL right now has a weakness it might be Dillon. We also carry a 7th defenseman who is just a person, nobody special. But that's a difficult argument for a young player.

Misyul is another intriguing prospect. Vilen too. We know Silayev and Casey and Nemec. So there are 6-7 defensemen in our system that could legitimately be NHL caliber if developed properly. That's an entire team's defense! :)
Misyul should be a third pairing defender in my view. If NJ doesn’t have room for him they should trade him.

Silayev should be replacing Dillon after next year. Siegs will have another 2 years left on his deal at that point. At that point Silayev should be fully acclimated and be able to slide into the top 4 and then maybe you move on from Siegs when his deal is up and an Orlov moves in as the 3LD
I like that Silayev has better ceiling than Dillon and even if not from the start but with time he will make our defensive line better, especially if he will find more offense in him and some dogsh1t to present it for his opponents.
Luke, Simon and Casey will develop their game too. And its not like Luke is some kind of young player with potential, he is playing like a star defenseman already. Just a couple of steps for being elite.
If Orlov is in a good relationships with Spartak, he can develop his game fluidly and if he will do better, we can use Siegs until the end and Silayev will adapt too. I believe Fitz doesn't want to have a couple of defensemen rockies in the roster. Looks like he isn't ready even for one rockie now.

I think for now 7th defenseman is just a bench role. I believe Fitz will call Nemec, Casey or Misyul if he will need to replace someone in injury case. Defense is really great now.

Fitz(his scouting groupe) made huge job in scouting defensemen, would be great of ge will start to scout some forwards with offensive potential. Steven and Even are doing better job by their own when Steves first job was making people in his bar happy and writing his book. That was literally the third gig in his life, but our scouts can't find forward when scouting is their full time job. May be because everything they did is trying to find good defensemen.

I watched his game against Dynamo, he made assist in OT. Nice game - mobile, physical, nice ice covering, good puckhandling.
He takes assist in the game after.

U22 defensemen stat in KHL this season.

He's a sleeper pick in our prospect pool it seems. It's hard to watch his games with him being in Russia and them not being able to play internationally screwed him out of potential world juniors exposure as well. I'll try to not go crazy with expectations for him but if he can pan out at be a strong #4/#5 Defenseman than that would be a great pick.

Being regular KHLer is already very good (some of our 3-4th round picks will never be a good regular pro, especially on that level). If he will become good third pair NHLer - it will be already great. Most likely you will not draft good NHLer from 4th round, even bottom line player. Borderline second pair defenseman is an awesome outcome.
