Fabbro reallly blew this game for us.
It's a shame Parsnip scored. He's going to get taped to a chair in the pressbox at this rate. The only line that isnt a negative is the kid line and they get the least amount of TOI. Part of it is because we cant keep our dumb asses out of the penalty box but this is just dumb
Like the Assistant GM/Director of Hockey Ops Brian Poile?I think it is time to clean house of Poile guys in the front office. Top to bottom.

The only forwards on our team that don’t have a negative +/- are him, Evangelista, and Tomasino. Novak and Parsinnen have the next best +/-. They are also all scoring at higher rates 5 v 5 than anyone on our team. I realize some of that is because they get easier matchups but I really can’t fathom why Brunette hasn’t just given them at least a game where he feeds them ice time to see what happens. There’s no way they could play any worse than our star vets are though.Send LHeureux back to Milwaukee if you’re only gonna give him 8 minutes a game. He was our best player last year in Milwaukee and to give him 8 minutes and play him him with mccarron and smith is pathetic. If he was in Dallas he’d be on the top 2 lines, 3rd line minimum. This franchise is joke when it comes to developing young forwards
On the flip side Jonathan Marchessault has just one point and no goals over his last 5 games.Only positive I could see here is six points in the last six games for Stamkos.
I’m not asking for them to cut ice time for our highly paid vet. They are our highest paid because they are our highest skilled players. I would like to see our more skilled young players to play with them. Now that the “country club” culture has persisted across coaches and GMS the one common denominator I can see is that both Hynes and Bruno refused to cut the ice time for our highly paid vets. I get you need those guys to play well to be a contender but I also think the total lack of accountability is what leads them to feel like they can half ass it with no consequences.
I'm not even saying to cut it long term but maybe just have a game where you send a message to them that if they aren't going to perform he'll play the young guys more.I’m not asking for them to cut ice time for our highly paid vet. When everyone is healthy
But playing the young guys with young guys doesn’t help their development as much as playing them with our other vets and skilled players. It’s not like our vets aren’t performing at all but putting them with some younger players on their line might put a pep in their step.I'm not even saying to cut it long term but maybe just have a game where you send a message to them that if they aren't going to perform he'll play the young guys more.
I think long term that's the solution but I also think there needs to be some message sent to the vets that their play is unacceptable and one game where they get 12 minutes of ice time and no PP is a way to do that. Totally agreed on Bruno though. But playing the young guys with young guys doesn’t help their development as much as playing them with our other vets and skilled players. Another note I don’t think brunettes systems is right for the roster we have and believe the faster we move away from him the faster we can turn this around
