Desharnais 2 goal game bought him weeks of prime ice time. Meanwhile any goal a guy like Carr, Lehkonen score and they still ride the pine. Therrien rewards his grinders like crazy and yet Desharnais is not one of those. I'm not sure what he sees in this smurf maybe thinking just cause he's 5'7 and not getting destroyed out there it means he works hard and defies the odds. When in reality it just means he doesn't get involved in the high traffic areas or play two-way hockey.
