I was just thinking how I'd do in his situation and it would be the same. Late to every man, doesn't affect an outlet pass, can't pressure, doesn't hit, etc. He just can't cut it. He makes some smart plays on the puck but off the puck, it's essentially 5v4.

This new zone defense style we're using is leaving a lot of space for the opponent to attack.

Once they get set up all the other team has to do is pass to the open space and they get a clean look.

I really think this structure is causing most of our defensive issues.
