Courage yes, but why? Doing a pathetic job cause he doesn't know how to fight and after a clean hit. Bad move playing away against a tough rival. That's why I hate don't have an enforcer, at least won the fight!

Now with the game over, @Master P my english sucks bro, I thought what I wrote would be well understood. My point was why I wanted an enforcer to win fights, not to show the mediocrity of instigate and also get a beat. If you wanted a fight, put your best effort, not that boring show (at least won the fight).

Its all good, I think he did the smart thing. That Jets dude had 6 inches on him. If he didn't wrap up like that that guy would have been free to rain down fists. Z managed to get a shot in at the end there.

pulling the goalie early is mathematically the right decision to make. there is really no room to argue against it. cooper should do it even earlier honestly.

Pulling the goalie that early doesn’t work.

You’re down a goal with 4 minutes left. Time is your enemy but you can push all 5 skaters up and take risks to get the equalizer. If that doesn’t work you pull the nothing-to-lose move with just over a minute left.

By pulling the goalie that early you exponentially increase the risk of ending the game 3 minutes early, 2 of which you could have used to exert 5-man pressure, by allowing an ENG. It’s stupid and is not supported mathematically.

Glendening has actually played well 5v5 based on xGF and xGA, so I don't think he's cooked. He does look like dog doodoo on the PK though, along with everyone else.

11GA on the PK is not a winning stat line, that equates to about 75 goals allowed.. We only gave up 39 PP goals all of last year, it's borderline shocking how bad we are right now. Teams have either figured us out or we are trying something different that isn't working.

It's getting pretty rough. Almost every time he's out there on the PK we get scored on. Almost every time he's off, we kill it

You're not wrong. Here's a closer look at who is to blame.

The biggest thing that stands out other than Glendening is that McDonagh/Cernak are getting eaten up quite a bit for being our go to guys.

I would love to see the math on TB's ENG goals scored vs allowed.

Feels like guys don't really summon the urgency needed to play with an empty net when you pull that early either. with 2 mins or less left, they're more likely to empty the tank, plus it's not like you can play your scorers more than 2 mins anyway.

Really hope Point is okay. We might've gotten points out of this game if Vasi played instead, but I kinda get resting him here since it didn't seem likely going in.

True.

What it basically comes down to is the degree of possibility of scoring with an extra skater versus being scored upon. With the extra skater, you may increase your chance of scoring by, say about, 20%. However, the chance of your opponent scoring an ENG is magnified, about 60%.

Now, in the very last minute of a game, an opponent's ENG matters much less because a loss by one goal and a loss by two are equal. A loss is a loss. But, with more time left than that the possibility that you end up killing your chance to tie the game up by allowing an ENG are that much greater -- such that you end up wasting those precious last two or three minutes of a game, time that could've been used to make increasingly desperate attempts to tie it up.

Poor defense. That McD gaffe was awful. JJ sucks. Im not going to blame defense and the team in front when you're consistently giving up 4 goals. People thought he was a solid backup last year but I didn't buy that narrative and still don't. I think he's mediocre and would look even worse on a team lower than us in the standings. Putting it mildly, he's shit. 12 out of 26 appearances last year were +4GA and this year it's 2 out of 3. f***ing awful.

Yeah our D wasn't great, but JJ ain't it. We need a better backup.
