From what I was told, $36 million US was bet into Royal Ascot day 2 yesterday (total is across the globe). Through four races today, over $21 million US has been wagered globally.

Brittany Russell has a $475,000 horse owned by Mike Repole making a debut today at Delaware. And Unbridled as the grandsire.

Update: third in a maiden race and a route 1 mi 70 yds, maybe go shorter next time. Got out to the lead, tired fought back somewhat. Onto the Watch List.

$36.5 million bet at Royal Ascot on Day 3 from what I understand. Roughly $5 million+ per race. That is a global figure.

Bob Baffert debuts an Arrogate ridgling today and an Arrogate filly tomorrow at Los Alamitos. He also has a $600, 000 Into Mischief colt debuting today. Opening weekend at the southern Cal track

Santa Anita's numbers were similar to to the 2022-23 meet, one less race day this year and about $7 million in daily handle. Stable not great but not underwhelming considering the issues ongoing in the state.

Fairy Godmother is one fine looking 2-year-old. She is 2-for-3 lifetime and was purchased for $539,000 US. That was an extraordinary finish in the day four opener.

Gulf's Pick 6 will start at $520,000 but is expected to reach $4,000,000 today. Mandatory payout.

Ascot starts the day.
