I would take Kreider and/or Trouba if the $ works. Forwards could use a bigger body who can skate & score, and the team is lacking a nasty physical player.

Kreider would make sense if someone ate half his 6.5m for the next 2 seasons. Trouba i wouldnt touch with a 200ft pole. It would take moving out Sheary, Perbix, and Atkinson to make the money work at 50% retained from one team for Kreider.

Why though, they have a 12-6-1 record and the best goalie in the league.
I have no idea. It makes no sense to me but Ranger fan seems on board. I don't think we have anything we want but imagine getting McDonagh and Miller for a couple of picks Brett Howden, Libor Hajek and Vlad Namestnikov. This team with Kreider would be absolutely unstoppable

THATS ALL IT f***ING TOOK?!?!?!?!?!

He produced at a decent clip last year on the third line, but has done nothing this year. Ace is basically in the same exact situation, so not a move we should be keen on making.

I think I'd rather look at Duke than trade middling picks for third line projects.

Kreider checks a lot of boxes. Size, speed, experience, and can play on the top lines. Some of these veteran players get critiqued more heavily if they're on the back 9 of their career, but I'm sure guys like him and Trouba are hungry for a cup and would be motivated after a change of scenery. The latter gets a lot of heat, but he brings elements that I would welcome on this team. The $ makes it nearly impossible but I see both of these guys as good fits based on what they can bring to the table.

I really got nothing. They are a pain in the ass team.
