Our forward group is leaps and bounds better than last year’s team and we’d actually probably carry 5v5 most nights but Lindgren is such an anchor that it destroys any progress this team makes in terms of momentum whenever he and Trouba take the ice.

Assuming no major injuries up front, priority A,B, and C needs to be replacing him in the lineup with a LHD this deadline. Ivan Provorov, Marcus Pettersson, if LA doesn’t re-sign him I’d take a stab at Gavrikov.

Honeslty anyone that is not a net negative probably works if Miller-Fox and Jones-Schneider are together.

This is quite literally the difference between this team controlling play and scrambling most nights. Our struggles 1000percent correlate to

A) him being in the lineup over Mancini
B) when he was paired with Fox instead of Trouba
I agree with every word you said 100 💯. But …how do you really make it happen ? No one in Rangers mgt is going to Throw #55 over the bow.

If Drury had balls, when Lindgren broke his jaw he should have LTIR'd him. When Mancini showed he could play, Lindgren should have stayed out until after Thanksgiving. It would have given us cap space at the TDL and not have us suck on the ice.

Pretty interesting that the self-proclaimed best goalie in the league, by a lot, has only managed to put up the 9th best save percentage and 5th best GSAA over the last 3 years (1000+ mins)
I don't believe the best goalie exist. Unfortunately, defense and the type of chances you give up matters. Additionally, the top goalie can vary between hot and cold streaks. And sometimes you have goalies that come out of nowhere and perform well above expectations. At the end of the day, he performs well in the playoffs and that's what everybody will remeber or point to while calling him the best. But he hasn't been top 3 through the regular season is now his 3rd season.

Smith has been ok, but we are going to be in the same spot next off season trying to replace that wing again with the next guy who doesn't quite fit on that line unless something drastic changes
