Lindgren-Trouba needs to be a sheltered 3rd pair. They’re both still decent PKers so let them take sheltered 3rd pair minutes and 5v5 and they’ll still get good TOI when you add in their PK minutes.

Theres simply no justification for Jones-Schneider not being the 2nd pair at 5v5.

Our forward group is leaps and bounds better than last year’s team and we’d actually probably carry 5v5 most nights but Lindgren is such an anchor that it destroys any progress this team makes in terms of momentum whenever he and Trouba take the ice.

Assuming no major injuries up front, priority A,B, and C needs to be replacing him in the lineup with a LHD this deadline. Ivan Provorov, Marcus Pettersson, if LA doesn’t re-sign him I’d take a stab at Gavrikov.

Honeslty anyone that is not a net negative probably works if Miller-Fox and Jones-Schneider are together.

This is quite literally the difference between this team controlling play and scrambling most nights. Our struggles 1000percent correlate to

A) him being in the lineup over Mancini
B) when he was paired with Fox instead of Trouba

Trouba-Lindgren just cede the blue line far too easily at all times.

But make no mistake, Igor should’ve had that goal.

The guy wants to be paid like he’s in a class of his own as far as goalies in the league, he should stop plays like that. He’s not in a class of his own btw. If anyone in the league is, it’s Hellebuyck who has been better for longer, has more hardware and is more consistent. Igor is a top 5 goalie but he’s nowhere near being 4m more a year than Hellebuyck or Sorokin or Oettinger. Not even close.
