Prior to this year? He didn't have the burst to be trustworthy as the top of the umbrella. He got stronger.

This year? Dino coach gonna give the chance to an older player first.

Only thing I can think was that they never thought he'd be a regular in the lineup, and so tried to keep him off special teams. He's a regular now though, and it's been well earned.

It's just when he has space and the puck on his stick with a chance to do something it seems like he is just a bit too slow in his effort to create a dangerous scoring chance.

i actually think he's too 'picky' about playmaking. like he only wants to make a high percentage scoring opportunity.
