Looks like they really needed that 7 day break. Having 2 wins against high quality teams got to boost the teams morale easily.

Goncalves was looking like an effective bottom six player in the game tonight. I hope he can keep that level up as he looked more impactful than Atkinson has most of the year, who is consequently riding the bench.

These last two games have been really impressive, sixty minute performances and against two quality teams, without Point. Though I think every time we do have a top player go down for a while - Hedman, Kuch, Point, etc, the team suddenly doesn't think it's good enough to coast to victories in the regular season any more.

The team defense has been great, and Vasy hasn't let in any bunnies or any of the few good chances the other team was able to get. Dare I say, it's all been working!

Gonclaves was mostly noticeable in a good way. Probably his best NHL game.
