I don't mind Alex as an announcer, but these stories and tidbits about the players need to be done during stoppages, not while play is going on

Yeah, he needs to grow into that "story teller" type of announcer, a la Bob or Vin. It takes time and nuance. He also uses the term "Johnny on the Spot" or "right place at the right time" a tad too much.

With that said, I think he's doing a wonderful job in his (essentially) rookie season.

Rob Blake on Jeff Carter return - a good distance away from that happening. Satisfied with Adrian Kempe play on defensive side of puck. Not a natural center, his speed helps D. Needs to pick up his faceoff win %
